Tim Boegler is the founder of Boegler Aviation Consulting, LLC. His aviation career began at Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in Tulsa, Oklahoma, beginning in 1991 and graduating in 1995.
He earned his private pilot certificate, commercial certificate, instrument rating, certified flight instructor rating, and instrument flight instructor rating, later adding a multi-engine rating while working as a flight instructor in a Part 61 flight school from 1995 to 1997.
In 1997, he joined the U.S. Army to become a rotary-wing aviator. He served as an armed reconnaissance helicopter pilot flying the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior and held standardization instructor pilot positions from the company through brigade level. His military deployments included counter-drug operations, peacekeeping operations in Bosnia, and combat operations in Iraq.
After military retirement, he transitioned back to the civilian market working for I3 as the Standardization Instructor Pilot conducting training of the Tunisian Air Force during their initial deployment of the OH58D. He continued his career by moving to airline operations as a First Officer with Envoy Air, part of American Airlines Group, where he later upgraded to Captain. He subsequently joined American Airlines as a First Officer on the Airbus A320.
